Only the company owner, or an administrator the owner allowed, can disconnect Meta. The owner is told by email when it happens.
Warning: Disconnecting stops all WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook activity. WhatsApp campaigns are switched off and pending broadcasts are cancelled; you have to switch them back on after reconnecting.
- On the Meta Platform Status page, click Disconnect Meta Account.
- Confirm in the confirmation popup.
- Application:
- Removes itself from your WhatsApp Business Accounts and Facebook Pages, and revokes its Meta permissions (best-effort).
- Clears access tokens.
- Hides your WhatsApp phone numbers and templates. They are not deleted: if you reconnect and grant access to the same WhatsApp Business Account, they come back as they were.
- Archives WhatsApp campaigns that use those numbers (their statistics are kept) and cancels pending broadcasts.
