The Instagram overview is a statistics report for your published posts. Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn have the same report on their own overview, so the four read the same way.
- Open the overview: Social Media → Overview, then Overview on the Instagram card.
- Choose the period at the top right: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
The report has these parts:
- What this means: a few plain sentences about the period, such as how many posts you published and how often they were seen, your engagement rate and whether it went up or down compared with the period before, the hour your posts do best, which kind of post works best, failed posts, and a reminder when nothing is scheduled. A best time or best format is only mentioned when there are enough posts behind it to be meaningful.
- Headline numbers: followers, reach, impressions, engagement rate, profile visits and website clicks, each with a one-line explanation.
- How many people saw your posts: impressions and reach, grouped by the day each post was published.
- Audience: how your following moved over the period.
- Best times to post: the hours when your posts got the most response, shown in your own time zone. Point at a bar to see how many posts it is based on.
- What kind of content works: the average engagement rate of feed posts, reels and stories.
- Your best content: your best post, and the best of each other format you used. Click one to open its post page.
- Every post, side by side: reactions, comments, people reached, times shown and engagement rate for every post in the period. Sort by any column, search, or click Download as Excel.
Engagement rate is reactions, comments, saves and shares added together, as a share of impressions. A new post shows its first figures a few hours after it is published.
Who sees the statistics. Statistics are part of the plan: if your company’s plan doesn’t include them, the overview shows a lock instead, and company administrators get a See plans button. A TenantUser who sees the lock is asked to contact a company administrator.
