Pins are created in the same Publishing Wizard as Instagram and Facebook posts, so one post can go to several platforms at once.
- Click New Pin on the Pinterest dashboard (Pinterest is already selected), or open the Publishing Wizard from Social Media and select Pinterest in step 1.
- In step 2, select an image from the Media Library. Pinterest uses only the first item, and it must be an image — video pins are not supported yet.
- In step 3, write the caption.
- In step 4, open the Pinterest tab. Choose the board, or type a name to create a new board. Add a title (up to 100 characters), an optional description (up to 800 characters), and an optional destination link (a full address starting with
https://). - In step 5, leave the date empty and click Save and Publish, or pick a date, time and time zone and click Save and Schedule Publish.
If you leave the Pinterest title empty, Application uses the start of your caption, shortened to fit Pinterest’s 100-character limit. The description falls back to the caption the same way.
Editing a pin. Clicking Edit on a pin opens the wizard on step 4 with the pin’s image, board, title, description and link filled in. Only Pinterest can be selected while you edit. Click Save and Publish Now to publish it, or set a date and click Save Changes. If saving fails, the wizard stays open with your changes and shows the reason.
