# Troubleshooting: Meta Platform

**"Unable to sync phone numbers from Meta."**

1. Check your Meta connection on the Status page.
2. Verify your token has not expired in Meta Business Manager.
3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting Meta.

**Embedded Signup popup blocked**

- Allow popups for the Application domain in your browser.
- In Chrome: click the popup blocked icon in the address bar → Always allow.

**Instagram/Facebook not visible after connecting Meta**

1. Confirm you granted the required permissions during Embedded Signup.
2. Go to **Meta Permissions** and check if the required permissions are listed.
3. Click **Refresh Permissions** to re-sync.
4. If still missing, disconnect and reconnect Meta, granting all requested permissions.

**Publishing to Facebook or Instagram fails with `(#200) Permissions error`**

1. This always means a **missing Meta permission**, never a wrong password or a wrong Page.
2. Open **Meta Platform** → **Channel setup** and find the **Instagram and Facebook capabilities** panel. The red badge names the exact scope that is missing.
3. Click **Grant all missing permissions** and tick **every** box in Meta's dialog.

**A capability is still red straight after granting permissions**

- Some scopes (most often `pages_messaging` for Messenger, and the Instagram messaging scopes) need the Peikly Meta app to hold **Advanced Access** via Meta **App Review**. Until that is approved, Meta grants them only to people with a role on the Meta app and silently omits them for everyone else, even though the dialog succeeds.
- If you ticked every box and it is still red, this is the cause. Contact support — it cannot be fixed by reconnecting.

**Meta keeps not asking for a permission I declined earlier**

- Meta does not re-prompt for a previously declined permission unless explicitly asked. Peikly now always asks, so use **Grant all missing permissions** to force the re-prompt.
