# 11.32 Retry a Failed Execution

1. In the execution history popup, find a **Failed** run.
2. Click **Retry failed execution** and confirm.

The run resumes **at the step that failed**. Earlier steps are not repeated. Retry is not possible while the workflow is **Deactivating** or **Archived**.

Fix the cause first, for example re-approve the template, add the missing contact data, or reconnect the mailbox. Otherwise the retry fails again. A plain-text WhatsApp reply usually can't be retried successfully once 24 hours have passed.
