# 15.2 Publish to LinkedIn

1. Open the **Publishing Wizard** (**Social Media** → **Publishing Wizard**, or **New post** on the LinkedIn overview) and select **LinkedIn** in step 1.
2. In step 2, choose media from the Media Library (optional, see [15.3](/docs/linkedin-post-types/)).
3. In step 3, write the caption.
4. In step 4, open the **LinkedIn** tab:
   - **Publish as**: a Company Page, or your personal profile.
   - **Who can see it**: for the personal profile only — anyone, or connections only. Company Page posts are always public.
   - **Post type**: **Standard**, **Article** or **Poll**.
   - **Post text**: leave blank to use the caption from step 3, or write a LinkedIn-specific version. The first two lines show before "…see more", so open with the point.
   - **Hashtags**: three to five relevant hashtags work best.
5. In step 5, click **Save and Publish**, or pick a date and time and click **Save and Schedule Publish**.

LinkedIn posts are published in the background. The post shows a **Publishing** spinner in **Social Media → Posts** for a minute or two (longer for a large video, which LinkedIn processes first) and you get a notification when it is live, or why it could not be published.

**Write it for me.** The Wizard's AI writer also writes a separate LinkedIn version of the post in a professional tone, into the LinkedIn tab's **Post text**.
