# 14. Pinterest: Troubleshooting

## Errors, Messages, and Common Fixes

| Message | Why It Happens | How to Fix |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pinterest is missing from **Posts**, or shows **Needs setup** in the Publishing Wizard | Pinterest is not connected yet | Connect it from **Social Media → Overview** (see [14.1](/docs/connect-to-pinterest/)) |
| `Pinterest sign-in failed. Please try again.` | The Pinterest authorization step did not complete | Retry the connection; check that popups are not blocked |
| **Pinterest statistics aren't available to you** | Your plan doesn't include Pinterest analytics, or you don't have analytics access | CompanyAdmin: click **See plans**. TenantUser: ask your company administrator |
| `The Pinterest connection has expired. Reconnect Pinterest to continue.` | Pinterest no longer accepts the connection — usually because access was removed in Pinterest's settings | Click **Sign Out**, then **Connect with Pinterest** again |
| `Pinterest titles can be at most 100 characters.` | The pin title is longer than Pinterest allows | Shorten the title |
| `Pinterest video pins are not supported yet. Choose an image for this pin.` | The selected media is a video | Choose an image instead |
| `This pin is already published on Pinterest. Create a new pin instead.` | You tried to save or publish a pin that is already live | Create a new pin |
| `This post can't be edited. It may have been deleted, or it is already published.` | You opened **Edit** for a pin that was deleted or published in the meantime | Refresh **Posts**; to change a published pin, create a new one |
| `You are editing one Pinterest post, so only Pinterest can be selected.` | Another platform was selected while editing a pin | Keep only Pinterest selected, or create a new post for the other platforms |
| `This pin is already scheduled. Manage its time from the Scheduler.` | You saved changes to a pin that has a pending schedule | Change or cancel its time in the [Scheduler](/docs/scheduler/) |
| `Pinterest must download the image from a public address...` | The image address is not reachable from the internet | Use an image from the Media Library on your live Application address |

## If Pinterest features stop working

1. Check the Pinterest dashboard for the current connection status.
2. If disconnected, reconnect using **Connect with Pinterest**.
3. Confirm your user still has Pinterest module access granted by CompanyAdmin.
4. Open **Social Media** → **Posts** (a read-only check) before retrying publishing.

## What happens if this fails?

- If Pinterest stops accepting the connection (for example, you removed Application's access in Pinterest's settings), the connection shows **Needs attention** in the Connections menu and publishing fails until you reconnect.
- If publishing fails, the pin is not published and should be reviewed before retrying.
