# 14.4 Pinterest Insights

The Pinterest dashboard has the same **Statistics** report as Instagram and Facebook (see [12.5 Instagram Insights](/docs/instagram-insights/)), built from your published pins.

1. Open the Pinterest dashboard: **Social Media** → **Overview**, then **Overview** on the **Pinterest** card. The insights button on a pin's card in **Posts** opens the same page.
2. Choose the period at the top: **24h**, **7d** or **30d**.
3. Read the **Statistics** section:
   - **What this means**: plain sentences about how many pins you published, how often they were shown, your engagement rate compared with the period before, the best hour and the best kind of pin.
   - **Headline numbers**: impressions, saves, pin clicks, outbound clicks, engagement rate and save rate.
   - **How many people saw your pins**, by the day each pin was published.
   - **Where the engagement came from**: saves, pin clicks, outbound clicks, reactions and comments.
   - **Best times to post** (in your own time zone), **What kind of content works** (image pins and video pins), and **Your best content**. Click a pin there to open it on Pinterest.
   - **Every pin, side by side**, with **Download as Excel**, and **Board performance** for each board.
4. To fetch the latest figures now instead of waiting, click **Refresh stats** next to the **Statistics** heading.

These numbers come from Pinterest and update every few hours for pins published from Application in the last 90 days. The report shows when Pinterest last reported them. Pinterest only reports the last 90 days, so older pins keep their last reported figures. A newly published pin shows zero until the next update.

**Engagement rate** is saves, pin clicks, outbound clicks, reactions and comments added together, as a share of impressions.

**Who sees the statistics.** If your plan doesn't include Pinterest analytics, the **Statistics** section shows a lock, and the pin cards, the pin details window and the sort options show no numbers. Company administrators get a **See plans** button. A TenantUser also needs Pinterest analytics access from a company administrator.
