# 2.7 Set Password After Invitation

When an administrator creates your account with an activation email:

1. Click the link in the invitation email.
2. You are redirected to the **Set Password** page.
3. Enter **New Password** (8–100 chars, at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 digit).
4. Enter **Confirm Password**.
5. Click **Set Password**.

## Errors, Messages, and Exceptions

| Message | Why It Happens | How to Fix |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Invalid password setup link.` | Link expired or reused | Ask admin to resend invitation |
| `User not found.` | Account was deleted | Ask admin to re-create invitation |
| `Password was already set.` | Link already used | Sign in normally or use Forgot Password |
| `Passwords do not match.` | Fields differ | Re-enter matching passwords |
| `Password set successfully. You can now log in.` | Success | Sign in with the new password |
