# 6. User Management

## What This Feature Does

User Management lets CompanyAdmin users invite, configure, and manage operator accounts within their organization. You control who can sign in, what role they have, and which contacts they can access.

## When to Use

- Use to invite a new team member (agent, operator, manager) to the CRM.
- Use to change an existing user's role or permissions.
- Use to deactivate a user who has left the team.
- Do not use this to manage end customers or contacts — use **Contact Management** for that.

## Prerequisites

- CompanyAdmin role.
- Pro plan (user management requires Pro or higher).

## Permission & Access Control

- Only CompanyAdmin users can create, edit, and manage other users.
- TenantUser accounts cannot access User Management.
- A CompanyAdmin cannot create another CompanyAdmin unless the platform allows it.
- The company **owner** cannot be removed, deactivated or demoted, and only the owner can transfer ownership ([6.7](/docs/the-company-owner/)).
