# 12.4a Create with AI (pictures, carousels and videos)

In step 2 (**Media**) of the Publishing Wizard, click **Create with AI**. The assistant asks four short questions:

1. **What** — *A picture*, *A carousel*, *A video*, or *Animate my picture* (turn a photo you already have into a short video).
2. **Where** — Instagram or Facebook, and *Feed post*, *Story* or *Reel*. Each choice shows the exact shape and size, so the result always fits. Reels are video only; carousels are feed only.
3. **Details** — one sentence about the post (your Business Profile fills in the rest). For video, pick how it moves (*Bring it to life*, *Slow zoom in*, *Gentle glide*, *Product turn* …) and its length (4, 6 or 8 seconds).
4. **Check** — a summary and exactly what it costs from your monthly allowance, before anything is spent.

For a carousel the assistant also writes a caption for each slide, and the wizard opens in **A caption for each slide** mode so you can read and edit them in step 3. The main caption is then a short opening for the whole carousel.

**Your logo.** If you have chosen a logo in **Settings → Company Settings → Business Profile**, the app places it on the pictures and videos for you. To keep generated media logo-free (for example, to add your own logo in Canva), turn off **Add my logo to AI-generated images and videos** there — see [7.2.3](/docs/company-settings/#723-logo--colours-and-the-logo-on-ai-media-switch). It applies to media generated after the change.

Results appear under **Create with AI** in step 2 and you get a notification when each is ready. Nothing is published until you press **Use this** and finish the wizard.

**How videos are made.** A video is never generated from words alone. The assistant first creates a picture, you check it (**Looks good — animate it**, or **Change the picture** for one picture credit), and only then is it brought to life, which uses one video. Untick *Show me the picture before making the video* in step 3 to skip the check.

**Words on a video.** Click **Add text** (or **Edit text**) on a finished video. Type a main line, an optional second line and an optional button label; choose Top / Middle / Bottom, a style and a size, and watch it on the preview. Changing the text is free and instant, and never changes the movement. Tick *Show the area the app keeps clear* to see where Instagram's buttons and caption sit.

**Your own picture.** *Animate my picture* takes a JPG or PNG you upload (or one already in the post). Pictures that are not tall enough get soft blurred edges for free, or you can let AI extend the picture for one picture credit. Pictures with text in them may blur when they move — add the words afterwards with the text tool instead.

| Issue | Cause | Fix |
| --- | --- | --- |
| *Add text* button is missing on a video | Video text is not set up on this server (ffmpeg not installed) | Ask your administrator; the video itself is still usable |
| "You have used this month's videos" | Monthly video allowance used | Wait for the reset on the 1st, or upgrade your plan |
| "The video came back in the wrong shape or length" | The video service returned an unusable clip | Nothing was charged — press **Change → The movement** to try again |
| A photo with people is refused | The video service limits animating real people in some regions | Use a picture without people, or an AI picture |
