# 13. Facebook: Troubleshooting

## Common Use Cases

- Publish supporting social content for a live campaign.
- Reply to Messenger conversations from active prospects or customers.
- Review post performance before repeating or boosting similar content.

## Errors, Messages, and Common Fixes

| Issue | Cause | Fix |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Facebook menu not visible | Meta not connected or pages_show_list not granted | Connect Meta with Facebook Pages permission |
| Cannot manage messages | Messaging permission not granted | Reconnect Meta with messaging permissions |
| `This post can't be edited. It may have been deleted, or it is already published.` | The post is live, in the publishing queue, or was deleted | Wait until it is live, or create a new post |
| Delete from Facebook fails | Facebook refused to remove the post | Remove it on the Page, then choose **Delete from the CRM only** |

## If Facebook features stop working

1. Check whether Meta is still connected.
2. Confirm the correct Facebook Page is still linked.
3. Confirm the current user still has messaging or publishing access.
4. Retry a read-only action first, then retry publishing or replying.

## What happens if this fails?

- If Page permissions are removed, Page data and posting features stop loading.
- If Messenger access is removed, message handling stops until permissions are restored.
- If publishing fails, the post is not published and shows **Failed** in **Posts** — fix the cause, then **Try again** or **Edit** it.
