# 13.1 Facebook Posts and Publishing

**Create a post:**

1. In the sidebar, click **Social Media** → **Publishing Wizard**.
2. In step 1, select **Facebook** — and any other platform the same post should go to.
3. Choose media (step 2) and write the caption (step 3).
4. In step 4, open the **Facebook** tab to choose the Page and the format (**Feed post**, **Reel** or **Story**).
5. In step 5, click **Save and Publish**, or set a date, time and time zone and click **Save and Schedule Publish**.

**Choose a video cover** in step 2, the same way as for Instagram: see [12.4](/docs/instagram-publishing/).

**Change the cover of a published video:** on the video's card in **Social Media → Posts**, click the cover icon (**Change cover**). Pick a frame with the slider or choose an image, then click **Save cover**. The same shape notes appear as in the wizard. Facebook can take a minute to show the new cover. If you're asked to grant a Facebook permission first, re-run the Meta permission dialog from the Meta connection page; this needs the comment moderation permission as well as publishing.

**Edit, retry or delete a post:** open **Social Media** → **Posts**, filter by **Facebook**, and use the post's card. These work exactly as for Instagram — see [12.6 Edit, Retry and Delete Instagram Posts](/docs/edit-retry-and-delete-instagram-posts/). For a published post, delete offers **Delete from the CRM only** or **Delete here and on Facebook**.

Links you saved to the old **Facebook Posts** or **Facebook Publishing** pages still work and open these shared pages.
