# 2.5 Email Confirmation Flow

After email/password registration, you receive an automated confirmation email:

1. Check inbox for subject: *"Confirm your email address"*.
2. Click the **Confirm Email** link.
3. If you registered with a password: *"Your email has been verified successfully. You can now log in."* → redirected to Sign In.
4. If you were invited with no password set: *"Your email has been confirmed. Please set your password to complete your registration."* → redirected to Set Password page.

**External-provider registrations:** Email is marked confirmed automatically. No confirmation email is sent.

## Fix Common Problems

**Problem: "This confirmation link is invalid or has expired."**

- Confirmation links expire. Ask your administrator to resend the invitation, or contact support.
