# 15a. Advanced Social Media Analysis

## What This Feature Does

Advanced Analysis is an AI social media analyst that works on each of your connected accounts. On a schedule you choose, it reads how your own posts performed, studies competitors in your field, writes a report on what works and what does not, and turns that into a dated **content plan** of post ideas. You tick the ideas you like and they go onto your [Scheduler](/docs/scheduler/) calendar. You can create them yourself in the Publishing Wizard or have the AI design them.

Every number in a report is calculated from what the platform returned. The AI only describes those numbers and suggests what to do; it never invents a figure.

## When to Use

- Use when you post regularly but do not know which formats, topics or times actually work for your audience.
- Use when you want to know how you compare with other accounts in your field, and what they post that you do not.
- Use when you want a steady supply of post ideas based on evidence rather than guesswork.
- Do not use this until the account is connected and has published some posts. With only a handful of posts, the analyst has little to learn from and says so.

## Prerequisites

- A plan that includes Advanced Analysis. Your plan also sets how many accounts can be analysed, how many analysis runs you get per month, and how many competitors each account can track.
- At least one connected account: an Instagram business account or a Facebook Page through the [Meta connection](/docs/meta-platform-connection/), or a LinkedIn Company Page where [LinkedIn](/docs/linkedin/) is available.
- The Meta permissions that let Peikly read your posts and insights. If one is missing, the account card says so and a company administrator can grant it there.
- A filled-in **Business Profile** in [Company Settings](/docs/company-settings/) is recommended. Each account inherits it unless you write something more specific.

## Permission & Access Control

| Action | CompanyAdmin | TenantUser |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Open Advanced Analysis, read reports and content plans | ✅ | ✅ |
| Set up, change, pause or stop an analysis | ✅ | ✅ |
| Approve, add or exclude competitors | ✅ | ✅ |
| Add plan ideas to the calendar, or create them | ✅ | ✅ (creating a post also needs publishing rights for that platform) |
| Grant a missing Meta permission | ✅ | ❌ (asks a company administrator) |

## Common Use Cases

- A café checks every week which posts brought the most engagement, and plans next week's posts from the ideas.
- A shop discovers that its Reels outperform its photos and that competitors post twice as often, and adjusts.
- An agency running several Pages for different businesses gets a separate report for each one.
